Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data PROTEKSPORTS processes when you visit proteksports.fr, use the configurator or place an order, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.

Data we process

• Orders: name, e-mail address, phone number, delivery and billing address, products ordered, options and amount. Card details are entered on Stripe’s payment page: we never have access to them.
• Personalisation: texts, logos and images you upload, designs created in the configurator and descriptions entered for creation by artificial intelligence.
• Custom-fit mouthguards: the dental impression you send back to us and the photos of your impression sent for approval. They are used solely to make your mouthguard.
• 3D scans sent by a dental practice: the scan files uploaded by the practice, its contact details and the patient reference. They are used solely to make the mouthguard.
• Correspondence: messages sent by e-mail or through the contact form (name, e-mail, message and, for clubs, the club name and the number of athletes).
• Browsing: technical server logs (IP address, date, page requested) and, only if you accept them, audience measurement and advertising cookies.

Why we use them

• To fulfil your order (contract): payment, manufacturing, shipping, confirmation and tracking e-mails, customer service, returns and guarantees.
• To meet our legal obligations: invoicing and accounting.
• To secure the site and prevent fraud (legitimate interest): technical logs, abuse prevention, payment checks.
• To measure audience and the effectiveness of our advertising (consent): only if you accept it in the cookie banner.

We do not sell your data and we do not send you advertising newsletters without your consent.

Recipients and service providers

Your data is processed by the PROTEKSPORTS team and by the workshop that makes your mouthguard. We use the following service providers, who act only on our behalf:

• LWS (France): hosting of the site and order data.
• Stripe: secure payment and fraud prevention.
• IONOS: sending and receiving e-mails.
• La Poste / Colissimo: delivery of your parcels (name, address, phone number).
• Artificial intelligence image generation provider: creation of designs in the configurator. Only the description you enter is sent to it: do not include unnecessary personal information.
• Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads): audience and campaign measurement, only with your consent.

We may also disclose data where required by law (administrative or judicial authorities).

Transfers outside the European Union

Some service providers (Stripe, Google, the artificial intelligence provider) may process data in the United States. These transfers are governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Retention periods

• Orders and invoices: 10 years, the period required by accounting obligations.
• Correspondence with customer service: 3 years after the last contact.
• Designs, logos and impressions: for the time needed to make your mouthguard and to handle any replacement or guarantee claim, after which they are deleted or destroyed.
• 3D scans: automatically deleted 30 days after upload, whatever the status of the order.
• Technical logs: 12 months at most.
• Audience measurement and advertising cookies: 13 months at most; your choice in the banner is stored in your browser.

Cookies and storage in your browser

The site stores in your browser the items it needs to work: your basket, any promo code and your cookie choice. These do not require your consent.

Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner. They may receive the address of the page visited, a technical identifier and, in the event of a purchase, the amount and order number. You can refuse or change your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer. Refusing does not prevent you from ordering.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You may also set instructions on what happens to your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@proteksports.fr. We reply within one month. If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or with the data protection authority in your country.

Minors

Orders for a child are placed by a parent or legal guardian, who provides the necessary data.

Security

The site is accessible only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to order data is restricted to the people who need it to process your order.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to the regulations. The date of the latest update appears below.
