Our Story
My name is Thomas Callard. I am a dental technician, I box and do MMA, and I have also played rugby. In 2021, I made my first custom-fit mouthguard. Proteksports grew out of that: offering high-performance, highly personalisable custom-fit mouthguards, made in France from your dental impression.
The beginning
The mouthguards I wore did not stay in place. Throughout my teenage years and early adulthood, they distracted me during fights and training, and they caused me injuries.
In 2021, I made my first custom-fit mouthguard, for myself. I then made them for the members of my club. Very few companies offered a high-performance custom-fit gum shield with extensive personalisation. So I launched Proteksports.

How
The custom-fit mouthguard
Custom-fit models are made in France from your dental impression. We provide instructions for taking your impression and check its quality before manufacturing.
The boil-and-bite mouthguard
Boil-and-bite models (thermoformable, moulded at home in hot water) are moulded at home. The custom-fit or boil-and-bite comparison sets out the criteria: price, lead time, hold.
Personalisation
Colour, text, logo or flag: every personalisation is checked by the laboratory before production. On personalised models, you can also create a design with artificial intelligence and view it in 3D before ordering. The preview is for guidance only: the laboratory adapts the design to the curve of the mouthguard.

A mouthguard helps protect your teeth in an impact. No equipment eliminates every risk. In case of pain, trauma, an orthodontic brace or recent dental treatment, your dentist or orthodontist remains the right person to consult. The mouthguards and your dentist page explains when to seek advice.
