The Classic custom-fit is Proteksports’ single-colour model: one bold shade, the dental impression kit included, then made in our laboratory once your photo has been approved. It suits athletes who want an individual fit for rugby, boxing or MMA, without text or a logo.

The custom-fit mouthguard, or gum shield, is made in our laboratory from a precise impression of your teeth, for a reliable, comfortable and long-lasting fit.

Rinse it in cold water after each use.
Brush it gently with a soft brush and a mild toothpaste. Let it air-dry and store it in its ventilated case.
When you receive it, the only time it goes in hot water is for the bite registration on the lower surface. After that, avoid any source of heat such as hot water, sunlight or a radiator, as this could deform it.

What is a custom-fit mouthguard?
A custom-fit mouthguard is made from an impression of your teeth to give an individual fit for sport.
It does not replace a bruxism splint or a therapeutic device prescribed by a healthcare professional.
How does ordering a custom-fit mouthguard work?
You place your order on our website, then we send a dental impression kit to your home.
You take your impression easily by following the instructions, then send it back to us. As soon as we receive it, our laboratory makes your custom-fit mouthguard and ships it to you within a few days.
How long between ordering and receiving my mouthguard?
Allow 24–48 h to receive your dental impression kit, then 5–10 working days after your impression has been approved for your mouthguard to be made and delivered.
How long can I keep my custom-fit mouthguard?
There is no fixed lifespan: regularly check the fit, cracks, thinning and the edges. Replace the mouthguard when it is damaged or no longer fits your teeth.
For children and teenagers, growth means more frequent checks are needed.
Can I wear a custom-fit mouthguard if I have a dental brace?
No, wearing a custom-fit mouthguard with dental braces is not recommended.
As every appliance is unique and changes over time, the moulding could get in the way of the brackets or damage them. In this case, it is important to ask your orthodontist or dentist for advice before wearing any mouthguard.
From what age can you have a custom-fit mouthguard made?
A custom-fit mouthguard can be made from the age of 7 or 8.
However, as children grow and their teeth change, the mouthguard often needs to be remade regularly so that it stays well fitted and effective.
